Crushing, Screening & Recycling

On-site crushing and screening facilities are available offering a cost effective solution whilst reducing the environmental impact by reducing the number of lorry movements on the road, avoiding the unnecessary filling of landfill space and minimising the volume of imported aggregates to site.
Through sustainable development we endeavour to minimise the production of waste resulting in the most efficient use of material and reusing recycled aggregates where practicable.
 

Earthworks Modelling

To offer our clients the very best solutions we encourage an early involvement with the pre-contract team, enabling us to utilise our in-house LSS Digital Ground Modelling system where we can advise on raising or lowering platforms, angle of slopes, quantities and final formation levels thereby retaining as much materials as possible on a project to achieve a cut / fill balance and where feasible a sustainable design conclusion. Using the LSS system we can provide the client accurate pre-start and completion surveys of all works for certainty with quantities and upon completion all works are re-measured for payment.
 

Site Enabling

Preparation of a site in advance of the main building contract is often an area of work that is ignored or under estimated in terms of its significance. Often the works are thrown into the “groundworks” package.
Here at Earthworks Solutions we are strong advocates of the Enabling contract.
The most cost effective solution is to clear a site in advance of trees, scrub, fences, existing kerb lines, steps etc. Remove hard standings, footings, paved areas, tarmac etc and crush, screen and recycle the materials in an efficient and environmental friendly manner for incorporation into the main building contract. Once cleared the cut and fill operation can be undertaken to prepare graded platforms for the building contractor to work in an efficient way.
As well as offering a best value solution in a sustainable manner it also prepares a site that is easier to manage and is less susceptible to future contentious contractual claims.
 

Plant Hire

Our modern, well-maintained plant is available for hire with skilled CPCS trained operatives under normal CPA conditions. Earthworks Solutions staff are always willing to provide guidance and information on the plant and its implementation.
